The concept of the publication is coverage of the multifaceted history of St. Petersburg based on the publication of scientific articles on little-studied and unexplored issues of the history of the city and its inhabitants, introduction into circulation of previously unpublished documents and materials, multifaceted illustrative material (paintings, photographs, stamps, postcards, etc.). The covers use images of views of St. Petersburg and its suburbs - works by artists of different years, including contemporary ones.
