More info

At the beginning of the century, the tragic fate of the Antarctic expedition of the British polar explorer Robert Scott stirred up the whole world: on January 18, 1912, its participants reached the South Pole, but the glory of the discoverers did not go to them, but to the Norwegian polar explorer R. Amundsen and his companions, who visited there for a month previously. On the way back, R. Scott and his comrades died, unable to bear the hardships of the journey. G. Ladlem managed to vividly and interestingly tell about the difficult fate of his hero, widely using many previously unpublished materials for this.
