Maria Stepanovna Voloshina (nee Zabolotskaya, 1887-1976), becoming the wife of the semi-recognized poet Maximilian Voloshin by the Soviet authorities, shared with him the difficult years of 1922-1932. Creating ideal conditions for work for her beloved husband, she became the support of his crowded “House of the Poet” in Koktebel. After the death of M.A. Voloshin, during the years of complete ban on his name, she managed to preserve the creative heritage of the poet and his House itself, bringing them to the present day. Maria Stepanovna herself was an extraordinary, gifted person, as evidenced by her friendship with K.F. Bogaevsky and V.P. Nekrasov. N.A. Obukhova, A.P. Ostroumova-Lebedeva, V.A. Rozhdestvensky, A.I. Tsvetaeva... The book was compiled by Voloshino scholar V.P. Kupchenko. Living in Koktebel in 1962, 1964-1983, he constantly communicated with M.S. Voloshina, performing, in particular, the duties of her secretary. The book contains the diaries of S.M. Voloshina, her memoirs, selected letters from different years, photographic documents, most of them are being published for the first time. An annotated index allows you to better navigate the material.
