The book continues the mini-collected works of Vladimir Voinovich, opened by "Tales for adults". It includes novels and stories in which the author appears as a talented everyday writer. Their plots cannot be called unexpected or all the more exciting, but for each of his heroes Voinovich finds such colors that an uncomplicated everyday situation grows into a tragedy that makes the reader's heart shrink from pain, or into a farce that you can laugh at until you drop. The book includes both well-known works of the writer, and new, previously unpublished novels and short stories.
