Private detective Donald Lam was conscientiously fulfilling the task of a new client to spy on an object when, quite by chance, he met a charming girl. She was not allowed into the hotel bar without a boyfriend, and Donald agreed to play his role. However, then he was seriously interested in a new acquaintance - she behaved somewhat strangely ... The detective finally became alert after he noticed that the waiter poured her beer under the guise of whiskey. The couple ended up at a remote motel, where the girl locked herself in the bathroom...and disappeared without a trace. Her car, in which they came here, was left in the parking lot. Puzzled, Lam went home, but this strange situation did not go out of his head. And the next morning, the detective was waiting for the morning newspaper, which reported the stunning news of a double suicide - and just in this very motel ...
