It all starts with the sudden death of a guest at the Moscow National Hotel, American businessman Gregory Banks. Very soon it becomes clear that Banks did not die a natural death, that he was killed using means usually used by spies. Gradually, the investigation into the circumstances of the mysterious death of a businessman from Vancouver leads state security officers to the trail of a werewolf, a high-ranking Soviet military intelligence officer who betrayed his homeland and has been working for the US intelligence services for many years. The novel is based on real events.
