Gilles Deleuze, according to one of his contemporaries, was a true cinephile. "He understood earlier and better than we did that, in a sense, society itself is Cinema." Deleuze not only developed the culture of watching films, but also sought to understand what role philosophy can play in understanding cinema and what, on the contrary, cinema has irreparably changed in philosophy.
