A young man was found mutilated and strangled in an apartment in Glasgow. Having rushed there in the middle of the night, the medical examiner Rona McLeod notices a clear resemblance between himself and the victim. Ron is pierced by the terrible thought that this could be her son, whom she gave up for adoption seventeen years ago. Acutely feeling guilty, Rona promises herself to expose the guy's killer and find her own son. But scoundrels who use the Internet to lure vulnerable young people can easily destroy Ron McLeod.
