The book is intended for a wide range of chess fans who play (or want to play) in competitions. It will also be useful for coaches and those involved in children's sports schools or other chess organizations.

The author is a master of sports of the USSR in chess, as well as a journalist and coach with many years of experience, who has trained several masters, including national champions in certain categories. For coaching in chess, he received the title of Excellence in Physical Culture and Sports of the Russian Federation.

As a chess journalist, he has about 600 publications in newspapers and magazines - including Argentina, Germany, Latvia. The book contains (with original commentary) games played by openings recommended to the reader, discusses typical mistakes, and gives practical recommendations.
