In the novel by the Hungarian writer Antal Gidash (b. 1899) “Other Music Is Needed,” the reader will meet characters familiar to him from two other novels by the writer, “Mr. Fitzek” and “Marton and His Friends”. The heroes of this novel, the grown-up sons of the shoemaker Fitzek, join the ranks of the fighters for the rights of the Hungarian proletarians. The action covers the time from the announcement of the First World War to the Great October Revolution and takes place in Budapest, at the front, is transferred to Siberia and Moscow.
