The textbook is devoted to the development of the architecture of rural settlements of the Soviet period, especially the 70-90s of the XX century, and the post-Soviet period - on the border of the XX-XXI centuries. The issues of settlement, planning structure of settlements, typology and architecture of residential and public buildings are considered. The features of the formation of villages in different natural conditions are reflected - in Central Russia, in the northern and southern regions, special attention is paid to Russia's transition to market relations. It is intended for students of higher educational institutions with a degree in Architecture, as well as for specialist architects and urban planners, for executive bodies for architecture and construction in the countryside. The appendix contains assignments for the design of priority objects for use in course projects.
