A charming, subtle, poetic story about the love of a boy and a girl, Vlad and Yasmin, charming in its purity and height of feelings. The short story “Jasmine Flower” tells the story of the relationship between a forty-year-old mature woman and a young man. Passion, love, doubts, sex, human prejudices that prevent you from living to the fullest, without looking at your surroundings. This is summer, maturity and the blossoming of feelings. But summer is followed by autumn - the short story “Jasmine Soap”. The heroine is over sixty, but she is not alien to the desire to love and be loved, especially since she does not feel old. The final short story in the collection, “A Dried Sprig of Jasmine,” is already winter, because the heroine of the short story, Tatyana Ivanovna, is over eighty. But she remained with wonderful memories of her husband, their love and fidelity, which they carried through their entire difficult and sometimes tragic life. The jasmine flower, which in various cultures is a sacred symbol of love, purity, and the mystical, like a musical theme, “sounds” in each of the four short stories, manifesting itself in various forms. The author managed to masterfully carry this theme through the entire work, connecting individual short stories into a single whole.
