The manual offered to the attention of readers contains German-Russian (about 1850 words) and Russian-German (about 1600 words) dictionaries, as well as reading texts that can be useful for students of the German language in philological faculties and in theological institutions. Dictionaries include a basic set of terms necessary when translating literature on theology, art history, history in general, philosophy of religion, etc. In cases where realities are described, dictionaries provide an interpretation or descriptive translation. In some cases, in addition to the translation, explanations and comments are provided.
The German-Russian part is provided with a small “List of abbreviations accepted in German-language Christian literature.” For practical and educational reasons, the book includes a small part of stable figures of speech of biblical origin (section “This entered the language from the Bible”).
