The book, the first in the "Unusual Museums of the World" series, was prepared for publication by the Non-Commercial Partnership Association "Cultural, Sports and Recreational Complexes" (NP Association KSOK). The Partnership (formerly the Association) is one of the very first public associations in perestroika Russia, it was founded as an innovation-implementation division of the USSR Academy of Sciences, and has been operating for 20 years. Over the years, experience has been accumulated in the creation of sports and recreation complexes, including turnkey ones; the release of its own popular science newspaper "Russian Bath"; holding festivals of arts and crafts (competition of blacksmiths on Kuznetsky Most Street and in Zvenigorod; exhibitions of ceramics, carving and painting on wood, etc.); publication of books-albums ("Good spoon", "Kolomenskoye", "Lefortovo", "Moscow without baths - not Moscow", "Lights of Moscow", etc.). All this made it possible to implement the statutory task - to promote the unity of the spiritual and physical development of a person.
