The poem was written for the 10th anniversary of the October Socialist Revolution.
According to Mayakovsky, back in 1926, he began to think about "the huge topic of October."
The original title of the poem was "October", then "25 October 1917".
During the second half of 1927, separate chapters and parts of the poem were published in newspapers and magazines.
Completely "Good!" was published in October 1927.
On the basis of chapters 2-8 of the poem, a theatrical production was made, shown by the Leningrad Maly Opera Theater during the anniversary celebrations.
