For the first time in Russian academic science, the presented collection provides a systematic presentation of the history and current state of research on increasing returns - an actual economic phenomenon that provides competitive advantages for states and organizations in today's global world. The authors of the collection, among whom more than half are young scientists, present an overview of increasing returns studies using the historical method and content analysis of Russian and foreign sources; demonstrate the results of specific empirical studies of the effects of increasing returns in the economy and politics of Russia; consider examples of mathematical models that allow simulating the effects of both diminishing and increasing returns at the macro level.
