Kartsev is the first scientific and artistic biography in Russian of one of the world's greatest thinkers - the English mathematician, physicist, mechanics and astronomer Isaac Newton, who influenced the entire development of science until our time time. The book is based on extensive documentary material, domestic and foreign. It also contains a broad canvas of the social and scientific life of England at the end of the 17th - first half of the 18th century.
