The book deals with the problems of the relationship between language, knowledge and society in epistemology, philosophy of science, philosophy of mind, philosophy of language, sociology, logic and social anthropology. The authors, critically analyzing a number of modern concepts in philosophy and the humanities (S. Kripke, H. Putnam, I. Prigogine, N. Luhmann, D. Chalmers, D. Bloor, K. Geertz, D. Lewis, J. Kim, K. McGinn , T. Burge, K. Brown and others), show that the linguistic and cognitive turns are far from over. Moreover, they continue to have a profound impact on the understanding of communication, consciousness, thinking, and activity. To what extent does language determine and exhaust the social relations of people? What are the limits of the autonomy of language activity? Does consciousness exist outside of language? By what methods and in what concepts is human subjectivity comprehended? How do social rules, social communication, cultural context, on the one hand, and meaning, intentionality, mentality, qualia, on the other hand, relate to each other? These and other questions are discussed by the authors of the book, including both well-known Russian philosophers and beginners, but already budding researchers.
