The book outlines the basic principles of radar. Pulse, frequency and phase methods for measuring the distance to objects and methods for determining the azimuth and elevation (or height) of objects are considered. In this case, both visual methods for determining coordinates and automatic tracking of objects are considered. The errors of measuring coordinates by radar methods and the factors that determine the range of radar stations are analyzed. The issues of radar interference and methods of dealing with them, the use of radar reconnaissance, the broadcast of radar data, the use of radar beacons and identification systems for belonging to objects are considered. Attention is paid to systems of selection of moving objects. The basic principles of designing radar stations are also given.
