Vladimir Semenovich Batshev is a Russian writer. In 1965-66, one of the organizers and leaders of the informal literary society SMOG ('The Youngest Society of Geniuses - The Power of Thought, Hyperball Orgy'), editor of the magazine "Sphinxes" (No. 1-4), the almanacs "Chu", "Ricochet", " Vanguard." Arrested on April 21, 1966 and on April 25, 1966 sentenced to 5 years “for parasitism.” He served exile in the village of Bolshoi Uluy, Krasnoyarsk Territory. Under pressure from international public opinion, in particular from the Posev publishing house, he was released in 1968 under an amnesty. In 1968-75 he participated in the dissident movement. In 1969, together with V. Kononenko, he published the samizdat almanac “The Turning Point”. Graduated from the screenwriting department of VGIK. He worked as a screenwriter in cinema, as a literary consultant in the magazine "Student Meridian", in the publishing houses "Children's Literature" and "Young Guard". In 1989-1991 - representative of the Posev publishing house in the USSR. 1991-93 - first deputy editor-in-chief of the Literary News weekly magazine. 1993-95 head of the publishing house “Bridges” organized by him, which in two years managed to publish 25 books by Russian and Russian foreign authors. From January 1989 to March 1995 - freelance columnist for Radio Liberty. In February 1995, he emigrated to Germany with his wife. Member of the German Writers' Union and the international PEN Club. Since April 1998 - editor of the monthly magazine Literary European and chairman of the Union of Russian Writers in Germany, since January 2004 - editor of the magazine Bridges. SF occupies an insignificant place in B.'s TV, but there are two science fiction films. novel gained fame: `Chronicle of the day ZET` (19..) is a pop. a type of NF posts. period - political close-range fiction; in `Prophetic Dreams` (1992), traditional SF themes are solved in an original and dynamic way: the problem of contact between humanity and alien intelligence and the mysteries of human supernatural abilities.
