The fertile Soviet era has gone into oblivion, and with it many species have sunk into oblivion of primordially Russian folk art - fables and epics are not in fashion, today's children grow up on old fairy tales, young people at the table prefer old Russian folk and lyrical Soviet songs... In this series, a ditty stands apart, which has stood the test of time and has survived only thanks to its poignancy, inexhaustible humor and mischief. This issue consists of ditties from the collection of the famous poet, laureate of the State Prize of Russia N.K. Starshinova. Folk art, uninhibited, mischievous, existing without any censorship, flavored with a cool, salty word, is presented in the collection without any retouching.

(Dietmar Gerhard Stüdemann)
