Continuation of the series of local history almanacs. This issue contains essays by famous Russian historians about the outstanding figure of the Russian Orthodox Church Sergius of Radonezh, publishes materials from the archive of the writer Fyodor Abramov about the problems of the Russian village, talks about the fate of the Russian Germans, and provides little-known materials about Admiral Kolchak and explorer Grigory Shelikhov. In the “Lost Monuments” section there is an article by P. Savitsky about the fate of ancient Russian monuments of architecture and culture. For the first time, letters from Tsarevich Alexei to his mother, stored in the archives of the October Revolution, are published.
