In the famous Russian cemetery of Sainte-Geneviève-des-Bois near Paris, the resting places are priests and courtiers, former ministers and beautiful ballerinas, grand dukes and terrorists, artists and white generals, famous war heroes and agents of the GPU, ladies-in-waiting and dressmakers, stars cinema and theater directors, former bosom friends and mortal enemies...

Some of them met the advent of the 20th century at the height of their Russian fame, others were not yet born in light. Dmitry Merezhkovsky, Zinaida Gippius, Ivan Bunin, Matilda Kshesinskaya, Sheremetevs and Yusupovs, General Kutepov, Father Sergius Bulgakov, Alexey Remizov, Teffi, Boris Zaitsev, Serge Lifar, Zinaida Serebryakova, Alexander Galich, Andrei Tarkovsky, Vladimir Maximov, Zinaida Shakhovskaya, Rudolf Nuriev...
