More info

Ian Larry (1900-1977) was orphaned early, was a homeless child, participated in the Civil War, and later graduated from the Faculty of Biology of Leningrad University. He began writing science fiction in the 1920s. His most famous work, "The Extraordinary Adventures of Karik and Vali", was commissioned by S. Marshak in 1937. It was a time when Marshak pulled talented "experienced" people into children's literature, Ian Larry turned out to be one of them. The fantastic story "The Extraordinary Adventures of Karik and Vali" will never seem archaic, because the action in it takes place in an amazing land of insects full of dangers and secrets. The main characters accidentally reduce themselves to the size of a pea and find themselves among terrible monsters - mosquitoes, flies, spiders, bees ... For middle school age.
