Loyalty to one's duty, first of all, to the party, communist, that is, the most humane, the highest duty of a person, invariably excites the writer Vartkes Tevekelyan. This theme runs like a red thread in his novels Granite Doesn't Melt and Beyond the Moscow River. And V. Tevekelyan's novel "Advertising Bureau of Mr. Kochek" is also devoted to the same theme - the theme of selfless service to one's duty. In this novel, the writer unfolds a wide canvas of international life in the period preceding the start of the Second World War. With great force, they are shown the noble role of the great Land of Soviets, the hope and bulwark of all people of good will, in these years, full of tragic events. In the center of the novel are two young Soviet anti-fascist intelligence officers, a husband and wife, "comrade Vasily" and "comrade Liza." For fourteen long and difficult years they have been living and working abroad, as if embodying those ideas of truth and humanism that their homeland opposed to the criminal, misanthropic ideology of fascism. And this is the great significance of the novel: it asserts that even in the most difficult international situation the Soviet Union is faithful, as always, to the lofty principles of the struggle for peace, for humanism. V. Tevekelyan's novel "Mr. Kochek's Advertising Bureau" is designed for the widest range of readers.
