Pyotr Petrovich Konchalovsky (1876-1956) - a great Russian artist, People's Artist of the RSFSR, laureate of the Stalin Prize of the first degree, one of the founders of the famous art association "Jack of Diamonds", was a member of such associations and groups of artists as: "Union of Youth", " World of Art", "Genesis", "AHHR", full member of the Academy of Arts of the USSR. He was an extraordinarily talented and prolific artist: during his life he created almost 2,000 canvases. Most of the artist's work is classified as Cezannism. In 1907, Pyotr Konchalovsky and his family visited the estates of Belkino and Bugry in the Borovsky district of the Kaluga province. It was in Belkino, as Olga Konchalovskaya recalls, “that Pyotr Petrovich began a completely new line of work, after many years of painful searching, he found a way and from that moment considered his life clear.” Pyotr Petrovich worked a lot and fruitfully in Belkino, he painted an old mansion, garden and surroundings in the style of impressionism. The Konchalovskys often came here in subsequent years, and 25 years later they acquired the Bugry estate from A.I. Troyanovskaya, daughter of I.I. Troyanovsky (now it is Konchalovsky's dacha, Konchalovsky mountains).
