Ogonyok Library No. 41 1988

Nikolai Andreevich Bykov was born in 1930 in Moscow. After graduating from the Moscow Agricultural Academy named after K.A. Timiryazev, he worked as a correspondent for Komsomolskaya Pravda. From November 1960, he was a correspondent for Ogonyok, on whose pages he published more than a hundred essays, mainly about people and problems in the village. For the series "Valdai springs" Nikolai Bykov was awarded the prize of the Union of Journalists of the USSR for 1916. The following books by N. Bykov were published in the Ogonyok Library: Late Lilac, Against the Sky - on Earth, Black Stork, It Happened in Tulsa.
