In September 1985, young Jon Lindqvist, a future writer, arrives in Stockholm. He wants to become a magician and rents an apartment in a dilapidated building next to the Brunkeberg Tunnel. Pretty soon, he realizes that something strange is happening with his new house: someone constantly calls him and asks for the same person, it is impossible to listen to music in the apartment, because sometimes ominous sounds come from the tape recorder, birds fall from the sky, the neighbors behave suspiciously, and it is unpleasant to walk in the tunnel, as if something living is watching the passers-by from the walls. And soon Yon, unwittingly, will collide with another world, the world of an endless green plain and a sky without a sun, from where real monsters come.
