I offer the first rare stamps and envelopes of Ukraine. I have to give an explanation to this lot. Since some people, due to certain circumstances, are unfamiliar with that time, many do not know that Ukraine was once part of the USSR, and gained independence in the 90s of the last year of the last century. Naturally, Ukraine faced great difficulties, which also affected the postal service, which had to be reorganized. There were no stamps. For the stamps, stamps of the former USSR were used, on which the corresponding overprints were made. The buyer can see these overprints here in this lot. The situation with stamps was very bad and they began to use stamps printed on plain paper for payment. Some copies are presented in this lot. There were similar problems with the manufacture of envelopes. The Ukrainian diaspora in Austria and Canada received great help in organizing the new postal service. On one of the envelopes, this is directly indicated. All these circumstances make the first stamps and covers rare rarities.
