The name of General A. I. Denikin went down in history as the name of the head of the armed forces of southern Russia during the most acute period of the civil war. Having replaced the fallen General Kornilov, Denikin and his armies came closer to Moscow than any other of the white leaders. But the forces turned out to be unequal.
General Denikin wrote five volumes of his history, filled with descriptions of campaigns and battles, descriptions of the historical epic of the armed forces of the white south.
