The book, dedicated to the millennium of Russian national coinage, consists of two main parts - a study and a consolidated catalog of coins of the original Russian coinage - and an appendix. The study summarizes the study of the coins of Vladimir, Yaroslav, Svyatopolk and clarifies the significance of this material as the most important source on the history of the culture of Kievan Rus during the era of its greatest prosperity. Information is given about the origin and “biography” of all 340 copies of Russian coins of the 10th-11th centuries, stored in the collections of the USSR and abroad. The appendix provides a complete list of literature on the topic and indexes: nominal, geographical and storage topography. All coins are reproduced.
