Dan Brown is a writer who regularly ranks among the top highest-paid authors according to Forbes magazine. Apparently, this is a case where quality is more important than quantity, because to achieve his status, Brown only needed to write 7 books.

The most famous series of books by Dan Brown is, of course, about Robert Langdon, a professor of religious symbology at Harvard University, handsome and smart, a kind of Harrison Ford in a tweed suit. As a rule, the professor's adventures begin with a crime, at the scene of which mysterious evidence or a clue is left. Since Langdon specializes in symbolism, time after time he has to follow the trail of the most dangerous criminals. 

Dan Brown's list of books about Robert Langdon looks like this:

“Angels and Demons” (2000). An adventure novel with thriller and detective elements. The action mainly takes place in Italy, in Rome. 

“The Da Vinci Code” (2003). The writer's most famous novel. Begins with the murder of Jacques Saunière, curator of the Louvre, committed in Paris. In order to unravel the mystery, Langdon will have to solve many intellectual puzzles. 

“The Lost Symbol” (2009). The plot of the novel takes place in Washington and revolves around the Freemasons. 

“Inferno” (2013). The action takes place in Florence, Italy of the 21st century and is intertwined with the plot of “The Divine Comedy” by Dante Alighieri. 

"Origin" (2017). In this novel, Langdon finds himself in Bilbao, where a brutal murder occurs during a public event. 

Currently, 3 out of 5 books have been filmed. Early in his writing career, Dan Brown wrote two non-series works. Both were less successful than his subsequent novels.

“Digital Fortress” (1998). A novel about the confrontation between the best US cryptographer Susan Fletcher and a mysterious criminal who threatens the national security of the United States. 

“Point of Deception” (2001). A unique artifact has been discovered in the Arctic that could affect the future of humanity. In order to study the find, an expedition is set up, whose members suddenly begin to die.
