Personality and creativity of Vasily Rozanov in the assessment of Russian thinkers and researchers.
Rozanov Vasily Vasilyevich (1856-1919) - Russian writer, essayist and philosopher. Plotless essay-diary prose is an undivided fusion of everyday and philosophical, political and intimate, tragic and 'vulgar' (books 'Solitary', 1912, 'Fallen Leaves', vol. 1-2, 1913-15, 'Apocalypse of our time' , 1917-18). The religious-existential mindset is combined with criticism of Christian asceticism, the apotheosis of the family and gender, in the elements of which Rozanov saw the fundamental principle of life; cult of national origins. Literary and critical works about N. V. Gogol, F. M. Dostoevsky, M. Yu. Lermontov. Essays: collections 'Biblical Poetry' (1912), 'Literary Exiles' (1913) and 'Apocalypse of Our Time' (1917-18; about the tragic end of Russian history in October 1917).
