The publication is a publication of handwritten “news-chimes” for the years 1648–1650. This volume, prepared by the Institute of Russian Language of the USSR Academy of Sciences and published in Moscow by the Nauka publishing house in 1983, includes translations and retellings of foreign news - about political and military events in Europe, treaties, reports of natural phenomena, healing waters, etc. It introduces a unique historical and linguistic source into scientific circulation, promoting the study of the Russian language of the 17th century. The original texts are stored in the Central State Archive of Ancient Acts. In addition, the publication contains a preface, indexes (words, personal and geographical names) and illustrations - photocopies of the original handwritten pages.
