The appearance of this work is surprising: having accidentally found themselves roommates in a Soviet health resort, the symbolist poet V.I. Ivanov and the literary critic M.O. in 1921 as a separate book. The theologian G. Florovsky, responding from Prague, called the "Correspondence" a human document of extreme importance - because the authors, as if soaring above the ruined life of that time, are talking about the Russian idea and catholicity, about the heavy burden of centuries-old culture and saving faith in Christ... The writer E. Lundberg wrote in Berlin: "Correspondence from Two Corners" is a wonderful, exciting, pleasing and hopelessly piercing document. This is a book that foreigners should also recognize." The "Correspondence" was printed in Germany, translated into French, then into Italian ... Thanks to the fact that the authors managed to preserve their abstract interests and mental freedom at that moment, "Correspondence from Two Corners" became a work for all time.
