 The most famous writers took part in the collection, such as: An. Bely, M. Gorky, Evg. Zamyatin, M. Zoshchenko, V. Kaverin, B. Lavrenev, Yu. Libedinsky, Inc. Nikitin, B. Pilnyak, M. Slonimsky, N. Tikhonov, K. Fedin, O. Forsh, A. Chapygin, V. Shishkov, V. Shklovsky, who were asked questions in the form of a questionnaire. In the questionnaire, writers had to talk about their literary work and working methods. The book was withdrawn due to articles by writers Eug. Zamyatin, B. Pilnyak and was kept on the prohibited lists until 1988
