Vladimir Zhukovsky, the founder of Russian romanticism in poetry, entered the history of Russian culture as a talented critic. The proposed book is the first attempt to systematize his rich literary and critical heritage. Each section of the collection reflects a stage in the aesthetic development of Zhukovsky in the 1800s-1840s.
